About The Wizarding World of Harry Potter
Because of the fact that the Wizarding World of Harry Potter is located in two different parks opening times for Hogsmeade and Diagon Alley will vary.
Generally speaking the parks will open at 9:00 am and close between 5:00 pm and 10:00 pm.
Check the operating schedule for 2018 for more details on opening and closing times.
Take the I-4 eastbound if you are coming from Lake Buena Vista, Disney or Kissimmee. If you are coming from downtown Orlando take the I-4 Westbound.
From highway I4 either take exit 74A (eastbound) or 74B (westbound) onto Universal Boulevard. From there follow the signs for Universal’s Parking Garage or to one of the six on-site resort hotels. To enter the parking garage you have to pass the toll booths and pay the parking fee.
Regular parking is available at the Universal Parking Garage at $22 per vehicle per day. RVs and Busses cost $25. There is also prime parking available at $35 per day.
After 6:00 pm parking is free during off peak season, except on Halloween Horror Nights.
Explore The Wizarding World of Harry Potter
The Wizarding World of Harry Potter is divided over 2 parks. Explore the lands within both parks if you wish to experience all the Harry Potter magic.
Step through the magic wall at Diagon Alley and dive into the Harry Potter magic. Go on a thrilling ride while you escape from Gringotts with Harry, Hermione and Ron.
Shop at Ollivanders and exchange your money at the Gringotts. For a light meal or a drink you can hop into the Leaky Cauldron or the Hopping Pot. You’ll get your desert at Florean Fortescue’s Ice-Cream Parlour ofcourse.
On the way to Kings Cross Platform 9 3/4 pay a visit to the Knights Bus, they’ll be happy to see you.
Once you get off the Hogwarts Express take a stroll through Hogsmeade. Pop into the Hog’s Head Pub or the Three Broomsticks for a butter beer. Forgot your wand? No worries, there’s an Ollivanders here too.
Shop for some chocolate frogs, practice your wand work and solemnly swear to be up to no good. Then go and tame a Hippogriff and join Harry on a forbidden journey through Hogwarts.
At the end of your day, take the Hogwarts Express back to Kings Cross, because no 2 train rides are the same.
Rides at The Wizarding World of Harry Potter
Always wanted to get on the Hogwarts Express? Well you can if you have a ticket that is valid in both Universal Parks. Climb onboard and look out the window. The Hogwarts Express will take you from Kings Cross to Hogsmeade (or vice versa). The inbound ride and the outbound ride are different, so be sure to get onboard twice.
Harry Potter and the Escape from Gringotts
Walk through Gringotts and experience the safety measures at this unrobbable bank first hand. Get ready for your trip through the massive underground vaults where you team up with Harry, Hermione and Ron. Evade Voldemort, Bellatrix and different creatures that want to keep you in the vaults at Gringotts.
Harry Potter and the Forbidden Journey
This amazing ride above the castle grounds uses groundbreaking techonology and a little magic. Explore the castle, meet magical creatures and have the ride of your life, during this thrilling ride.
Flight of the Hippogriff
This ride takes you on a wild ride through Hagrid’s pumpkin patch ont he pack of a Hippogriff. A family friendly rollercoaster ride that swoops past Hagrid’s hut where you can hear Fang barking.

Tales of Beedle the Bard
The Wizarding Academy for Dramatic Arts presents Tales of Beedle the Bard. Gather around the stage as these artists use scenic pieces, props and puppets to retell two magical tales; The Fountain of Fortune and ofcourse The Tale of the Three Brothers.
Celestina Warbeck and the Banshees
How about a show of Molly Weasley’s favorite singer? Dance and sing along as the singer and her Banshees perform crowd favorites “You Stole My Cauldron But You Can’t Have My Heart” and “A Cauldron Full of Hot, Stong Love.”
In Hogsmeade you will find a choir of Hogwarts students running around with their giant throaty frogs. Listend to them sing famous wizarding songs acapella with their croaking counterparts.
Triwizard Spirit Rally
The Triwizard Tournament is in town. And you are right on time for the Spirit Ralley. Cheer on the students from Hogwarts, Beauxbatons and Durmstrang as they get ready for the tournament.
Getting around in The Wizarding World of Harry Potter
Everything’s within walking distance
Harry Potter’s Wizarding World is split into two parts. Everything in Hogsmeade and in Diagon Alley is within walking distance and laid out so you can walk it without have to back track.
To move between Hogsmeade and Diagon Alley you can take the Hogwarts Express or walk via the City Walk. The Hogsmeade Express is the fastest way.
Staying at one of the on-site hotels?
From City Walk you can easily walk to all the hotels, the walk should take about 15 minutes. Universal also offers a water taxi service between the on-site hotels, except Cabana Bay, and the CityWalk. The shuttle bus service is however a faster option than the water taxi.
