About Universal Studio’s
Generally speaking the park opens at 9:00 am. Closing times vary between 7:00 and 10:00 pm depending on the season.
Check the operating schedule for 2018 for more details on opening and closing times.
Take the I-4 eastbound if you are coming from Lake Buena Vista, Disney or Kissimmee. If you are coming from downtown Orlando take the I-4 Westbound.
From highway I4 either take exit 74A (eastbound) or 74B (westbound) onto Universal Boulevard. From there follow the signs for Universal’s Parking Garage or to one of the six on-site resort hotels. To enter the parking garage you have to pass the toll booths and pay the parking fee.
Regular parking is available at the Universal Parking Garage at $22 per vehicle per day. RVs and Busses cost $25. There is also prime parking available at $35 per day.
After 6:00 pm parking is free during off peak season, except on Halloween Horror Nights.

Production Central is the entrance of Universal Studio’s. If you really want to see some rides that are based on famous movies, this is the place to go first.
You’ll meet the transformers, the minions and Gru and of course Shrek and Donkey.
For the ultimate adrenaline fix, head on over to Hollywood Rip Ride Rockit. Pick your soundtrack and enjoy the ride.
Who else will you meet in New York but Jimmy Fallon. He will take you on a spin through the past and present of the Big Apple. While you wait for his late show to start, enjoy some music.
If you have the stomach for some more adventure move over to the museum of antiquities for the ride of a live time, while running from the Mummy’s Revenge.
Meet the Blue Brothers in town and get ready to seriously shake your tailfeather.
Wizarding World of Harry Potter – Diagon Alley
Step through the magic wall at Diagon Alley and dive into the Harry Potter magic. Go on a thrilling ride while you escape from Gringotts with Harry, Hermione and Ron.
Shop at Ollivanders and exchange your money at the Gringotts. For a light meal or a drink you can hop into the Leaky Cauldron or the Hopping Pot. You’ll get your desert at Florean Fortescue’s Ice-Cream Parlour ofcourse.
On the way to Kings Cross Platform 9 3/4 pay a visit to the Knights Bus, they’ll be happy to see you.
This area was originally designed as the set of a World’s Fair. This small area is right between London and Springfield. If you blink you’ll miss it.
But be sure to stick around to fight some aliens MIB-style to protect the word of an impending invasion.
Spring Field: Home of the Simpsons
Always wanted to visit Springfield? Well now you can. After dodging aliens in World Expo you may need to dodge some more in Kang & Kodo’s Twirl n Hurl.
Instead you may wish to visit Krustyland with the Simpsons instead. But be careful there is sabotage on the horizon, so make sure you get back in one piece.
To finish of visit Moe in his Tavern and grab a Duff Beer on the way out.
Woody Woodpeckers KidZone
Especially for the little ones. Enjoy anything Woody Woodpecker and ride the Nuthouse Coaster, a kid-sized roller coaster that is fun for the whole family.
Meet Barney and several of the furriest start of the movies in their own show. Then when you are done clapping along and singing take of on your flying bicycle with E.T.
From Orlando to Hollywood in 2 seconds. Always fancied yourself a movie star? Then this is your time to walk around Tinseltown and bask in the glory of some of the best known monuments and places of Hollywood.
Catch a glimpse of what’s behind all the glitter and glamour of Hollywood at the Horror Make-Up Show. She what goes into creating some of Hollywood’s strangest (and scariest) creatures.

Despicable Me Minion Mayhem
Have you always wanted to help Gru with his evil schemes? How about turning into a minion and do just that. Don’t worry you will receive proper training and learn to appreciate bananas.
Join the jolly ogre and Donkey on an adventrue through the haunted forest. Ride on the back of a dragon and take a tumble over the giant waterfalls while trying to rescue Princess Fiona from Lord Farquaad.
Hollywood Rip Ride Rockit
Ready to Rock it? This daring rollercoaster is not for the faint of heart. You will dive, you will free fall and you will be upside down. All to the tune of a soundtrack selected by yourself.
TRANSFORMERS: The Ride
This is one serious thrill. Fight alongside Optimum Prime and Bumblebee in the war between the Autobots and the Decepticons. Can you keep the Allspark safe?
Race Through New York
Follow along as Jimmy Fallon takes you on a race through the Big Apple and beyond. You may even visit the moon. Start in the audience of his late show then hop on your racer and try to beat him.
Revenge of the Mummy
Discover the very real curse of the Mummy. He has risen from his slumber and you are right in the middle of all the action. Dive from the fireballs and run from the swarms of scarabs. Can you get out on time?
Fast & Furious - Supercharged
Join Dom, Letty, Hobbs and the whole Fast & Furious Family on a high speed adventure in this brand new ride! You will recognize the iconic cars from the movies during the action, but also while you are in the queue.
Hogwarts Express - Kings Cross
Climb onboard the Hogwarts Express and let the train take you from Platform 9 3/4 to Hogsmeade to visit Hogwarts, shop at HoneyDukes and fly with a Hippogriff.
Escape from Gringotts
Walk through Gringotts and experience the safety measures first hand. Get ready for your trip through the massive underground vaults where you team up with Harry, Hermione and Ron to escape the bank.
MEN IN BLACK Alien Attack
Get ready to fight of aliens MIB style. Get out your blasters and protect Earth from an alien attack. Zap the aliens as you chase them through the streets of New York in this interactive ride. At the end, depending on your score, you may graduate to be a MIB agent.
The Simpsons Ride
Ride along with Bart, Lisa and the rest of the Simpsons as they visit Krustyland. But someone is trying to sabotage Krustyland. Will you make it through the ride unscathed?
Kang & Kodos Twirl 'n' Hurl
Meet the aliens from the Simpsons on this intergalactic ride that will spin you around until you hurl. Bring your inflight bags, just in case.
Woody Woodpeckers Nuthouse Coaster
This kid-sized roller coaster is actually fun for everyone. Hop onboard and experience the nutty world of Woody Woodpecker.
Shows at Universal Studio’s
The Blues Brothers Show
Jake and Elwood have come straight from the streets of Chicago to perform their soulful sounds of the Blues Brothers. They take the stage daily and are accompanied by Mabel the waitress and her partner Jazz on the saxophone.
Tales of Beedle the Bard
The Wizarding Academy for Dramatic Arts presents Tales of Beedle the Bard. Gather around the stage as these artists use scenic pieces, props and puppets to retell two magical tales; The Fountain of Fortune and ofcourse The Tale of the Three Brothers.
Celestina Warbeck and the Banshees
How about a show of Molly Weasley’s favorite singer? Dance and sing along as the singer and her Banshees perform crowd favorites “You Stole My Cauldron But You Can’t Have My Heart” and “A Cauldron Full of Hot, Stong Love.”
The streets of Universal Studios will be teeming with all your favorite characters. Dance along with Gru, Agnes, Margo, Edith and the Minions, rock out with Spongebob Squarepants and meet Dora and Diego. The parade features elaborately themed floats and energetic street performers. You’ll love it!
Other Live Shows
At different moments there are several smaller live shows around the park, but there are also special themed shows depending on the time of year. There are special shows for Halloween and there is even a Macy’s Holiday Parade. And let’s not forget the “Animal Actors on Location”, Barney, Fear Factor Live and several live musical treats.
Getting around in Universal Studio’s
Everything’s within walking distance
The park is laid out in such a way that you can walk around the entirety without backtracking. If you wish to move between parks, you can go via the City Walk or take the Hogwarts Express.
Staying at one of the on-site hotels?
From City Walk you can easily walk to all the hotels, the walk should take about 15 minutes. Universal also offers a water taxi service between the on-site hotels, except Cabana Bay, and the CityWalk. The shuttle bus service is however a faster option than the water taxi.
